How we protect your information
Medicus Diagnostic Inc. ("Medicus", "we", "us") provides radiology and medical laboratory services at 2 Rose Street, Goodwill, Roseau, Commonwealth of Dominica. We take the privacy of our patients and visitors seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can contact us about it.

Information we collect
When you visit us for an exam or test
- Your name, date of birth, sex, address and phone number
- Your doctor's request form and the reason for your exam or test
- Relevant medical history, such as previous scans, allergies or pregnancy status
- Your images, samples, test results and the reports written by our radiologists and pathologist
When you contact us
- Information you choose to send us by WhatsApp, phone, email or our website contact form, such as your name, contact details and the exam you are asking about
From doctors who use our physician portal
This section applies only to doctors, not patients. Doctors who view their patients' reports and images online have an account on our secure physician portal. For these doctors we keep:
- Their name, contact details and login username
- A record of which of their patients' reports and images they open and when, so we can confirm that only authorised doctors see patient results
How we use your information
We use your information only to:
- Carry out the exams and tests your doctor has requested
- Produce your reports and deliver them to your doctor
- Contact you about your appointment, preparation or results collection
- Answer your questions and requests
- Keep accurate medical records
- Meet our legal and professional obligations
We do not sell your information, and we never use your medical records or test results for advertising.
Who we share it with
- You. You receive your results through a personal QR code. Anyone who has your QR code can view your results, so please keep it private and share it only with people you choose, such as your doctor.
- Your referring doctor. Your reports and images are shared with the doctor who requested them, normally through our secure online physician portal.
- Other healthcare providers involved in your care, when needed for your treatment, or when you ask us to.
- Authorities, only where the law requires it.
Our contact form and WhatsApp
When you press "Send Message", the details you type into our contact form are sent from our website straight to our email inbox (info@medicusdiagnostic.com). Our website does not keep a copy. When you press "Send on WhatsApp", your message opens in your own WhatsApp app and you choose whether to send it. Messages sent by WhatsApp are also subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
How we protect your information
- Paper and electronic records are kept in access-controlled areas and systems
- Only staff who need your information to do their job can see it
- Reports shared with doctors are delivered through a password-protected portal
- All staff are bound by medical confidentiality
How long we keep it
We keep medical records, images and reports for up to 5 years. After that, we dispose of them securely.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Give you another copy of your report or images
- Correct personal details that are wrong or out of date
- Explain how your information has been used or shared
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may ask you to confirm your identity before releasing any records.
Our website
Our website uses the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It uses cookies to record visits to our website, such as which pages were viewed and whether someone tapped to call, WhatsApp or email us, so that we can measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram posts and advertising. Meta may link this information to your Facebook or Instagram account under its own privacy policy.
The Meta Pixel does not receive your medical records, test results or anything you type into our contact form.
You can limit this tracking by blocking cookies in your browser settings, or by adjusting your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
